Just a month before the COVID-19 lock-down, I was in Pune for a breakfast food-walk and visited this iconic Maharashtrian dining hall just before their peak lunch time.
This place was started in 1953 and serves a limited but delicious menu in a spacious airy dining hall setting on the first floor. It is located in a busy market area.

Since we already had some breakfast before visiting this place, I tried out only Dadpe Pohe and Thalipeeth for this visit. I had heard about Dadpe Pohe, but ate them for the first time. I was a but unsure if I would like uncooked Poha but this turned out to be very delicious and tasted much better than it looks. All ingredients in this dish are raw and they served poha papad (migrund) to go with it.
Thalipeeth was served with white butter (loni) and garlic chutney.
The place is very simple but I would like to return to try out their thali and other dishes too.
