Sharada Bhavan is one of the oldest Udupi restaurants in Mumbai (around 70 years old). They serve authentic Mangalorean style food. I have seen this place since my childhood and it doesn't seem to have changed at all. The marble top wooden tables still exist!
The same old charm with familiar faces greet you with a smile when you enter. They do not have a long fancy menu, but instead, they stick to the classics that they do well. I believe they serve one of the best filter kaapi in Matunga.
While it may not attract the new generation, it is frequented by those who love its simplicity.
It actually transports you back in time.
